First-ever 3K Coal Miner Mud Dash
Your Wellston Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 1st Annual Wellston Coal Miner Mud Dash on Saturday July 25th at the former Kuppenheimer lot on East 2nd Street.
The Mud Dash was - and is - an afternoon of family fun. There are obstacle courses, a mud pit, slip and slides, angled climbing ramps, belly crawls, and several stations where some type of physical challenge is required. Just plan on getting wet and muddy!
The event was open to anyone 8 years or older. This was not a timed event. Every participant could set their own pace and simply skip any station that was outside their comfort zone or physical limitations. No harm, no foul. Just have fun!
With 74 registered participants and 15 corporate sponsors, the event was deemed a huge success. The Wellston Area Chamber of Commerce is already hard at work making the 2027 edition even bigger and better!
